The newest addition to Dusit Thani Dubai’s team of culinary experts – Benjarong’s new Thai Chef de Cuisine, Wichit Panyo. Watch out for his dishes brimming with passion for his craft, rooted in his belief that Thai cooking is an art, a delectable gift to share with friends, family and even to strangers.

Chef Wichit Panyo carries with him 24 years of experience in the kitchens of luxury hotels. Not only a masterchef in the kitchen, he has also been invited to numerous competitions and professional examinations as a judge and examiner within the Chefs Association of Thailand. He was taught and trained in both Western and Thai cuisines, with fondness for pastry and authentic Thai cuisine. He has previously worked for Four Seasons and Movenpick Hotels, to name a few. Some of his accolades include the following: Gold medalist in the Pattaya Culinary Food Expo; Silver medalist in the Mekong River’s Ultimate Chef Challenge; Silver medalist on Brunch Plate Competition at the Food & Hotelier’s Expo.

Benjarong has two private dining areas, one with low seating, to give diners a traditional experience. Dark wooden furniture, regal pillars, carvings and patterned walls and rugs recreate a majestic setting reminiscent of Thai royalty.

At Benjarong you will experience the very best of Royal Thai cuisine, with the utmost care being taken to ensure that classic, centuries old recipes are prepared and presented to perfection. The multi-awarded culinary team is also known for their creativity and keen eye for detail with fruit and vegetable carvings evident in how dishes are presented.
