The 23-year old from Russia recently reached his career-high of World No 5. Daniil first picked up a tennis racket at the age of 6 which led to a successful junior career where he peaked inside the top 15 at world #13. He went on to win his first singles ATP event at the 2016 Ricoh Open, and in 2017 he reached his first ATP singles finals at the Chennai Open. In 2018, Daniil won the Sydney International (becoming the youngest since Rafael Nadal in 2007) and finished the season with the most difficult match wins of any player on the ATP Tour.

2019 has without question been Daniil’s breakout year. He started the season by reaching the final of the Brisbane International. He then won his 4th ATP title at the Sofia Open and went on to defeat World #1, Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals of the Monte-Carlo Masters. The following week at the Barcelona Open, Medvedev earned his third successive top-10 victory to reach his first ATP Tour final on clay.

He reached a second consecutive Masters final at the Cincinnati Masters after beating defending champion Djokovic for the second time. Continuing to dominate and surprise the tennis world with his airtight groundstrokes, Daniil is primed to become a future Grand Slam Champion and leading superstar of the game.
