The charming and elegant interiors of the signature Italian restaurant set against the Dubai Creek, acts as the perfect backdrop for an intimate and cosy experience or a romantic dinner. Vanitas promises flavour-filled evenings at Palazzo Versace Dubai where you can discover the famous island’s cuisine that definitely deserve a “bellisimo”!

Vanitas, an Italian restaurant that flawlessly merges the authenticity of classic Italian food with the finesse of an impeccable fine dining set up, delivers expertly crafted Italian flavors using high end quality imported produce and herbs picked fresh from the hotel’s garden. With an emphasis on classic Italian food, Vanitas is a restaurant with finesse, offering a range of expertly curated dishes. Simple menu descriptions defy the artful balance of flavours so let the waitstaff strut their stuff – it’s one of the great pleasures of dining here.

The restaurant is housed in a neo-Renaissance style dining room decorated with murals of Roman ruins, cascading chandeliers and gilt-embellished banquet chairs upholstered in regal red and blue silk. The epitome of elegance a night at Vanitas provides a luxurious fine dining experience with meticulous attention to detail and impeccable service.

With antipasti favourites like prawn carpaccio and tuna tartare, perfectly al dente pastas and fresh, seafood courses of sea bass and grilled octopus, you’ll feel like you’ve landed on the pristine waters of Sicily.

Sicily, the island off the coast of the ‘boot’, celebrates its authentic cuisine at Vanitas every Tuesday night with Fly Me To Sicily Theme night. True Sicilian culture that is made up of a lifetime of small, yet significant traditions and stories show. Chef is letting you in on a little Sicilian secret by featuring the iconic Sicilian dish, Arancini I risu, a ball of breaded, creamy risotto rice, stuffed with ground beef & green peas. With antipasti favourites like prawn carpaccio and tuna tartare, perfectly al dente pastas and fresh, seafood courses of sea bass and grilled octopus, you’ll feel like you’ve landed on the pristine waters of Sicily.

You can’t dine at an Italian restaurant and not try their Burrata (fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream). Vanita’s Burrata with Grilled Focaccia Bread and Garden’s Heirloom Tomatoes were absolutely luscious and divine. Monkfish would be another top notch dish for seafood lovers which brings out the best of textures in a simple yet incredible dish.

We’d also recommend Penne alla Norma, one of the Sicilian most famous pasta dishes and the perfect representation of Sicilian cuisine. Made with tomatoes, aubergines, basil & salted ricotta, it’s called Norma after the nineteenth century opera of the same name, whereby both the dish and the music, are viewed as true masterpieces.

Presentation being of absolute importance every dish looks a piece of art and textures you can’t get over. Of course, Vanits has its share of renowned Italian sweets starring the cannoli, deep-fried tubes of creamy ricotta, as well cassata, a Sicilian sponge-cake flavoured with chocolate & citrus fruits.
