With the Rouge G Legendary Reds collection, Guerlain celebrates its heritage. Three iconic reds of yesteryear now reinterpreted in two emblematic finishes to form 6 shades of legend and to personalise with new velvet cases.
In a nod to this historical inspiration, the lipstick bullets of this collection are engraved with a bee, the symbol of the House of Guerlain since the creation of the bottle for Eau de Cologne Impériale. The new sleek and modern design of the lipstick offers precise, generous application, with its rounded base that hugs the lip contours and its pointed tip that ensures a precisely drawn lip line.
Shades Include:
- 1830 Rouge du Tigre – A flaming brick red. The very first red shade created by Guerlain for the lip and cheek colour Bloom of Rose. The shade is inspired by Asian lacquer art and the brown-red tones that adorn the most precious objects.
- 1870 Rouge Imperial – A deep berry red. This shade was used for Guerlain’s first lip colour in stick : Ne M’oubliez Pas. It’s deep, slightly bluish tone, once much cherished by 19-th century aristocracy, stands in homage to Empress Eugénie and is inspired by the fabrics worn by the royal figures of years past.
- 1925 Roi des Rouges – A pure and intense red. This shade revisits the colour that Guerlain created for the Roaring Twenties, in celebration of the frank feminine beauty that characterised the era. Almost a century later, this red remains the most vibrant of the whole collection.
To celebrate the Legendary Reds collection, Guerlain wished to highlight one of its star cases, all dressed in red velvet. Discover the new prestige limited edition Rouge G Legendary Bee: an exclusive set that includes the bestseller 214 satin shade and a jewelled case inspired by the emblematic Guerlain bee through the art of embroidery. The young French duo Baqué Molinié and their embroiderers team have created this limited edition celebrating the bee, fully woven with gold threads, embroidered with sparkling beads, and sewn onto a delicate velvet padded mesh. The fourth case, the Legendary Bee Prestige Edition, is an exclusive limited edition lipstick bullet. It features an intricate bee embroidery crafted by Baqué Molinié, a Parisian embroidery studio. The studio has reinterpreted the bee in red and gold pearls and decorated the velvet cover with a red honeycomb design. Each individually numbered lipstick is housed in a unique set and features Guerlain’s best-selling 214 shade.
