Led by Head Chef, Arturo Menezes, the chic two-floor restaurant combines the laid-back restaurant and contemporary lounge and bar, complete with indoor and outdoor terrace seating. KYO brings a hint of Japan to Dubai, allowing guests to experience an authentic glimpse into this inspiring culture and cuisine. Meaning both ‘Today’ and ‘Entertainment’ in Japanese, KYO is about accepting each day and making the most of every moment.

Mastered in the fine art of Japanese cooking with over 15 years of experience, Chef Arturo brings his eclectic cooking techniques and unique use of flavors and cultures in unpredictable KYO menus. From the precision of sashimi and sushi preparation to the fine art of teppanyaki and tempura, Chef Arturo  has fine-tuned the detailed Japanese cooking to perfection at KYO, creating new exciting inventive offerings.

The upscale establishment spanning across two expansive floors, hosts a contemporary bar, lounge-style seating area, offering both indoor and outdoor dining options. Commenting on the interiors, Chef Arturo says, “We promise a full experience – our open kitchen allows the guests to relish the art of sushi making and preparation of our delicate dishes. We also have mobile Teppanyaki stations – where we individually prepare dishes at each table – adding to the dining experience.”

Bask in the glow of the golden hour, as you sip through Japanese-inspired crafted concoctions at sunset from the bar or delight in delicacies like Sashimi, Wagyu Rib Eye, Ebi Tempura while dining Al Fresco. Enhanced by exquisite views of the Gulf and soothing breeze, the terrace blends seamlessly into a classic KYO experience.

The menu offers an expansive selection on the starters including Black Cod Gyoza, Tartar, and Wagyu Sashimi. Signatures from the mains are Wagyu Rib Eye, Ebi Tempuaa and Tako, including the Chef’s favourite Citrus Suzuki Guajillo, a poached sea bass soaked in a spicy citrus sauce with orange tobiko, spinach, and shimeii mushrooms. The menu also offers vegetarian and vegan alternatives for every course.

Catching the true essence of the cuisine, the menu also offers light bites, soups and starters featuring Tataki, Tartars, Gyoza and more. The mains include a selection of fresh fish, meat and vegetarian options. Ending the meal on a flavour guests will reminisce, the desserts are play on classics with Japanese elements like Sakura Pie, Ginger Tiramisu, Nachi Pear and the Chocolate Fondant.

Adding additional flair to the experience, the terrace also boasts a look over The Palm Fountain. The 14,000 sq. ft fountain is set to be the largest dancing fountain in the world. Dancing to iconic tunes from a multicultural mix of songs, it elevates the culinary feast for all senses.
