21-year-old French tennis star Ugo Humbert is the latest player to join the Rado YoungStar programme. He joins current YoungStar and WTA world number one Ashleigh Barty.

We launched the YoungStar programme in 2015 as part of our comprehensive tennis activities, which include acting as Official Timekeeper for a raft of international tournaments. Designed to support up-and-coming players, Rado YoungStars has the objective of creating an international team of talented, ambitious players with the potential to become the next generation of tennis stars.

Ranked 65th in the world, Ugo achieved a career high ranking of 46 in July 2019 and is in contention to appear in the ATP Next Gen Finals in December this year. It would be a fitting end to a whirlwind year for the left-hander, who turned pro in 2016. Over the past 12 months, he has climbed more than 200 places in the ATP rankings, thanks to victories in four ATP Challenger Tour events and runner-up finishes in a further three.

Having never played a professional match on grass before this year, he reached the Round of 16 in 2019 on his Wimbledon debut, joining just five other players who have achieved the same feat in the past 10 years.

Ugo began playing tennis aged 5 and has never looked back. Most comfortable playing on hard courts, he is known for his attacking style, powerful two-handed backhand and his ability to volley. A keen football fan and music lover, he is as comfortable sitting at a piano as he is with a racquet in his hands. We are delighted to welcome Ugo to our YoungStars team and are convinced he has a bright future ahead of him. Ugo wears the Rado HyperChrome Skeleton Automatic Chronograph.

Rado is known as the Master of Materials for the way it has revolutionised traditional watchmaking, leading the industry by introducing high-tech ceramic, ultra-light high-tech ceramic, colourful high-tech ceramic and Ceramos to its design-led collections.
