Burj Al Arab has paid tribute to its own heritage and legacy through the creation of three new spa experiences. Entitled ‘journeys’ by the new aptly named Director of Tranquility at the spa, Neil Hewerdine – The Sail, The Wave and The Atrium are three new custom created treatments that include a massage, a wrap and an envelopment designed to transport you to a whole new realm of luxury relaxation, from AED 1850.
Based on three iconic silhouettes: seeped with tradition and rising up from the desert and oceans of Dubai. The journeys have been enhanced using “the integrity of senses” to integrate sight, sound, taste, touch and aroma. Merging distinctive and exclusive elements with rare and natural ingredients from products with a deep Arabic heritage, these three two hour journeys have been specifically designed to result in the utmost relaxation and establish for long term benefits rather than one off experience.
Inspired by the iconic architectural shape of Burj Al Arab, The Wave journey will awaken your senses with an intense re-energizing foot and full body polishing, combined with a deeply detoxifying Swedish style massage. Banish those ripples and promote circulation with an uplifting envelopment of layers of cooling gel, stimulating essential oil and uplifting cream, resulting in complete invigoration & recovery. The wave journey reduces cellulite, supports with detoxification and fluid retention.
Created in tribute to The Sail of the hotel, this sensual journey will invigorate your senses with ingredients seeped in the traditions of Arabic heritage. A gentle foot cocoon and body polishing of coffee and frankincense, is followed by a luxurious aromatherapy massage, culminating with a calming & nourishing envelopment of patchouli, vanilla for absolute calm and serum for absolute conditioning. Indulge your senses with the special pressure and reflex points used to calm and relax your body and mind. The enrichment massage will increase the nourishment of your skin, leaving an uplifting and relaxing feeling.
The Atrium journey represents the breathtaking heart of the hotel. An enchanting foot and body polish combined with a comforting and regenerating “east merges with west massage”, culminating in an alluring envelopment, for the ultimate emotional balance and fortification. An enchanting body polish of rose, cardamom and olive to regenerate, cherishing and nurture your skin. The Atrium journey includes an uplifting envelopment of layers of three rose, to raise your spirit, uplift your mood and completely nourish and care your body, resulting in mindfulness and positivity.
All three spa journeys last for two hours, and are priced at AED 1,850. As well as the treatment itself, all guests will also receive a 300ml product based on the journey they choose. All products will stimulate and activate the mind and designed to refresh and emotionally balance you, as well as leaving your skin instantly radiant, smooth and glowing.
