Entering the summer season, Sucre introduces a new set menu featuring a selection of the restaurant’s signature dishes. ‘Taste Of Sucre’ was curated by its very own Master Chef, Fernando Trocca gathering family and friends together over the weekend for a memorable culinary experience. A flavour-packed journey inspired by Trocca’s Latin American heritage is brought to life in a menu that presents a sublime selection of the restaurant’s stand-out dishes.

Every weekend starting from 4th June, guests are invited to embark upon an immersive Sucre journey. Diners will start with a choice of Chef Trocca’s signature snacks including Stuffed Olives, Pickled Peppers & Aji Verde, or crowd-pleasing Smoked Cheddar and Onion Empanadas. The menu then moves into a selection of vegetarian and pescatarian ‘small plates’, the selection includes flavourful Chilli Prawn Ceviche, the popular Spicy Octopus Tostada, and the sweet and tangy Grilled Chicory Salad with Pear and Pecorino. For the large plates, guests can select from a medley reminiscent of traditional Latin family feasts – with the opportunity to pair with the perfect carafe of red or white wine, chosen from Sucre’s extensive cellar by Head Sommelier Victor Dituro.

Options include Chef favourites such as the Squid Ink Paella with Grilled Octopus & Aioli, Saffron Risotto with a sumptuous Veal Ossobuco, Salmon with Tomato and Caper or Wagyu Striploin with Charred Aubergine Purée. Finally, for an additional price, guests can choose from an indulgent and comforting Dulce De Leche fondant or Basque Cheesecake to end their journey on a sweet note.

The ‘Taste Of Sucre’ menu is available every weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, starting June 4th between 12:00PM and 6:00PM. The 3-course menu is priced at AED250 per person (+40AED to add dessert). Pairing option is available for an additional AED120 per carafe of wine. Seating is extremely limited, and early reservations are highly recommended.

Since opening in Argentina in 2001, to much acclaim, Sucre has been coveted as a trailblazer of contemporary Latin American cuisine, frequently featured in Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants. Founder & Master Chef Fernando Trocca skillfully combines traditional open-fire techniques native to Argentina with a breadth of Italian, Spanish and Latin American influences that have shaped the cuisine of his home city, Buenos Aires. Sucre Dubai opened its doors in December 2021 bringing to Middle East the idea of open fire cooking techniques with Chef Fernando’s signature touch.

Cranking up the volume on seasonal ingredients prepared in tantalising and unexpected arrangements, the ever-evolving menu lends a stylish simplicity to signature dishes such as King Crab Tostada, Argentinian Bone in Ribeye and Squid Ink Paella. Bottling the journey from Old World to New, Sucre boasts an extensive collection of the world’s finest grapes with hand-picked wines to suit every mood palate and occasion.

Designed by celebrated architect Noriyoshi Muramatsu Sucre’s interiors seek to bring Buenos Aires to life: an exposed brick entrance leads into a reception of printed tile flooring, cut glass chandeliers and a tapestry of woven carpets in endless hues of burgundy covering the curvaceous ceiling. Inside, the restaurant is split into a bar that spills onto the terrace, and a dining room towards the back, lined by a show open kitchen filled with expert chefs at work.

The bar programme at Sucre is imagined and executed by Fernando Trocca’s longtime collaborator, celebrated mixologist, Tato Giovannoni, winner of the Altos Bartenders’ Bartender 2020 award by The World’s 50 Best Bars. Behind the SUCRE Bar an elite squad of talented bartenders deliver the best mixology every time serving up signature cocktails with Latin flair, concocted with love, passion and backed by years of experience.
