devoted swallows were chosen for their representation of good fortune, wealth and love.
Applying this beautiful archive imagery to a curated selection of casualwear, sneakers and leather goods, the motifs are brought to life using a layered digital printing technique on
leather and embroidery on the ready to wear.
dunhill celebrates the festive season with our Spring Swallows capsule. In some East Asian cultures, the swallow is a traditional symbol of good fortune. Often found in pairs, swallows signal the start of spring and in many cultures represent new beginnings, love and good fortune for the future. Looking back at 2020, that positivity resonates with all of us as we look forward to the new year.
This sneaker offers an alternative take on the season’s new Aerial Runner style. Crafted in optic-white, calfskin leather, it features proferated detailing, a breathable mesh lining and gold foil-embossed AD 1893 branding. The Spring Swallows motif at the heel is applied using a relief printing technique that gives it a subtly raised appearance. There is also a printed watermark at the toe. The sole is engineered in lightweight vulcanised Vibram rubber for softness and spring, and features embossed tonal branding alongside a tread pattern designed for enhanced grip.
A sweatshirt engineered from ink-blue cotton in a regular fit, with ribbed cuffs and hem. The chest features a Spring Swallows design produced using a combination of embroidery and sublimation printing.
