Ottoman-inspired luxury in Dubai

From delicious dining experiences to special staycation packages, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is the perfect beachfront property to soak up the sun. Dine, swim or simply lay back and relax like a like a sultan during their stay here. See what it’s like living as a Turkish royal during the Ottoman era. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the West Crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.  The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of Turkey and features hand-painted finishings, Turkish artworks and stunning murals that conjure up images of the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire.

Dubai is one of the world’s premier holiday destinations and the perfect place to experience service beyond expectations. Even by the standards of high-end Dubai hotels, the five-pearl Jumeirah Zabeel Saray stands out as one of the most grandiose. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has provided guests with unparalleled luxurious experiences and will continue to exceed expectations.

Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has successfully passed the Bureau Veritas Safeguard audit, making Jumeirah Zabeel Saray one of the hotels to have gained the coveted recognition, compliant with highest hygiene standards. This is a great milestone for the resort which is committed to ensuring the safety of the guests and employees alike with stringent hygiene practices as well as transparency for the peace of mind.

Despite the resort’s location on the world’s largest man-made island, the hotel manages to feel authentic rather than artificial. Inspired by the palatial golden age of the Ottoman empire, the lobby is a riot of shimmering gold and white, featuring a polished stone floor reflecting a marble fountain and huge spiraled columns supporting a lofty ceiling adorned with an elaborate hand-painted dome. The elegant black tie gala scene with Tom Cruise and Paula Patton in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was shot entirely in the palatial lobby lounge of Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.

In many ways the 405-room Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is the epitome of the lavish hotels for which Dubai is famed. Our suite is located on the 3rd floor which allowed us going through the atrium on the ground floor. This atrium spans over 3 floors so you can imagine the effect it produces when you discover it. No doubt, each guest will really enjoy going through all the areas of the hotel as their decoration is always nice and refined. You’ll be amazed by every corner. The walls of the hotel are adorned with hand-painted murals and spaces are accented with opulent gold fixtures, both characteristic of Ottoman palaces.

All the royal suites surround an exclusive private lagoon swimming pool and have direct access to the private beach. All have four bedrooms with an option of turning another one into a games room or private gymnasium. Even ordinary rooms are filled with gadgets and are the size of an average apartment.

The first feeling that comes while we entered inside your Suite is the spaciousness. There are 3 separate areas: first the corridor with the bathroom and toilets on the right, then the bedroom with the desk area and last the living room opening on the outdoor terrace. Opulent rooms have furnished terraces plus bathrooms with big marble tubs. It is so nice and luxurious. Just imagine a bathtub with the size of your bed all made of marble. Simply amazing! The Turkish bath is nestled into an alcove with a nice ceiling and a glass window offering a view on the suite and the sea.

Ultimately, though, this is a resort hotel designed to encourage you to stay put from morning till night by way of restaurants, watersports, tennis, spa treatments in one of the largest and most impressive spas in the Middle East. As a hotel guest, you have a complimentary access to it. Dining options are numerous and varied, offering everything from Mediterranean Greek style beach restaurant Plaj to Lebanese cuisine at Al Nafoorah. Breakfast is served in the grand Imperium restaurant, complete with rows of crystal chandeliers and neoclassical columns. It is also including the option of alfresco dining on outside terraces.

This is the hotel where every single staff member is there to help you make the most of your stay. From security to pool staff – no one walks by without greeting you, or engaging with the children. There is no task so menial, or that cannot be done. The extraordinary outdoor activities surrounded by tropical gardens are another property highlights, whether guests take a stroll along the hotel’s private beach or swimming in its stylish outdoor infinity pool.

The pool caters to all needs, with shallow, shaded areas for little ones and deep, sunny areas for others. I like to describe it as one of the more calm and collected family pools, as although there are many children around, the area is so vast, it’s not super disruptive and boisterous. Jumeirah Zabeel Saray’s exclusive experience continues on the private beach where you can even book a private dinner. The beach, boasting one of the more picturesque views on The Palm, is serene and yet full of activity.

There’s also a gym, complete with performance-tracking Technogym equipment that’s programmed with virtual coaches. The fitness center is small for a resort of this size, but it’s well-equipped with modern cardio and strength-training machines, free weights, yoga mats, and punching bags.

In a city lined with skyscrapers, modern life can be difficult to escape – a fact the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray has based its on idea ‘The world can wait’. Guests are encouraged to live in the moment. There is a reason this is one of Dubai’s most popular resorts for locals and tourists alike.
