In Dubai, where luxury and innovation blend seamlessly, another striking example of how art and business can create something truly unique has emerged. ExecuJet, a leading player in the world of elite private aviation, has entrusted the renowned Dubai-based Opera Gallery to curate the space in its private terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). The result of this collaboration is an exquisite cultural experience for private jet passengers, immersing them in an atmosphere of luxury and refinement through carefully selected artworks.

At the core of this initiative is a carefully curated collection by Opera Gallery, chosen to resonate with the refined sensibilities of ExecuJet’s clientele. Through this collaboration, ExecuJet transforms its lounge from a luxurious haven into a gallery-like space, where travellers are invited to engage with contemporary masterpieces before taking flight. Each art piece, thoughtfully placed within the terminal’s sleek architectural design, enhances the ambience, turning the space into a canvas of relaxation and inspiration.

“At ExecuJet, we continually seek to redefine what luxury means for our clients,” says Dumani Ndebele, Regional FBO Director at ExecuJet Middle East. “Our partnership with Opera Gallery brings together art and aviation, creating an environment that elevates the travel experience beyond convention and into the realm of cultural sophistication.”

This exclusive collection features prominent works from celebrated international artists, including Kenny Scharf’s commanding seven-meter painting We’re Melting Together Night and Day and Stephan Marienfeld’s monumental sculpture Blow Up, which injects modern tension and depth through its depiction of pronounced curvatures, giving off a sense of internal expansion. Reza Derakshani’s floral-themed paintings create a serene aesthetic in the private lounges, while Manolo Valdés’s shimmering aluminium Reina Mariana greets guests with an elegant presence. Strategically integrated within the lounge, these pieces invite moments of reflection, connection, and admiration. The interplay between art and sky bound journeys offers a new perspective on luxury, appealing to a sophisticated traveller’s appreciation for elegance and cultural depth.

Renowned for its fine art curation, Opera Gallery has designed this collection to inspire, enriching each journey with a cultural touchpoint that enhances the passenger experience. “This particular collaboration has been very exciting because it stems from an organic discussion with ExecuJet. The gallery was involved since the very beginning of the design stages, and we instantly knew that the art elements would elevate the entire experience of ExecuJet’s lounge. This early-stage involvement enabled us to make a precise curation of the artists and works exhibited, depending on their location. Through this selection of 17 artworks by 11 artists, whether they be young artists as Noel W. Anderson or Pokras Lampas, or more established ones such as Kenny Scharf or Manolo Valdès, we wanted to present a diverse but very high-quality panorama of contemporary art. Both companies share the same guest profiles, so it made perfect sense from a strategic perspective to undertake the curation of the space and bring something unique to the world of private aviation” states Sylvain Gaillard, Director at Opera Gallery.

For ExecuJet Middle East, this collaboration marks a milestone in the private travel sphere, showcasing its dedication to crafting unique and enriching experiences that cater to the sophisticated traveller. By transforming its terminal into an intersection of fine art and private aviation, ExecuJet reaffirms its commitment to an elite lifestyle, providing an experience beyond mere travel to embody the essence of exclusivity and elegance. Accessible only to ExecuJet terminal passengers, the collection offers an elevated experience, with each viewing feeling like an intimate, almost private encounter with remarkable art.

Designed by architect Gregory Gatserelia and enhanced by Nada Debs, the ExecuJet terminal exudes exclusivity. Blending contemporary architecture with Middle Eastern touches, the space offers refined Italian furnishings from Giorgetti, Minotti and Poltrona Frau. Every detail – from plush seating to ambient lighting – creates an atmosphere of luxurious comfort, where guests feel both at home and inspired.
