A new icon joins the Ferragamo family – the SF logo. The two artfully reproduced initials (S and F) represent the essence of the fashion house and pay tribute to its founder, Salvatore Ferragamo. A symbol of Ferragamo’s passion, creative innovation and trailblazing vision.

A subtle, sophisticated sense of familiarity runs through the new SF Logo line. Making its debut with the Pre-Fall 2021 collection for men, the logo embraces several product categories with fresh appeal and a focus on low environmental impact.

Three of the brand’s best-selling footwear models are proposed: the loafer, the driver and the sneaker. The SF logo is presented in various ways. These include either a small, side buckle logo on the band of the shoe upper, or a central decorative logo set within a metal frame and with the two initials either varnished to match the colour of the leather or decorated with elegant rhinestones. The sneaker has a side buckle logo in light metal-effect resin or a printed, maxi, colour-contrast logo.

The stylish logo has also been added to a selection of Large and Small Leather Goods and belts. The SF logo line incorporates nylon to take its Large Leather Goods into the realms of leisure, creating a unique dégradé-effect shoulder bag, backpack and briefcase.

This isn’t the only characteristic of the logo though. Made of Econyl nylon (a fibre that has been entirely regenerated from fishing nets and from other nylon waste), sewn with thread that is made from 100% post-consumer certified recycled PET and finished with a zip tape made with regenerated polyester yarn made from recycled plastic bottles SF logo nylon accessories emphasize an enriched sense of environmental consciousness. The logo features as a bold rubber version on wallets and credit card holders in the Small Leather Goods range. Belts come in two models, with an SF logo buckle and a metal frame or with the SF initials set within Ferragamo’s iconic Gancini hook.

The SF Logo line is part of a digital campaign shot in the Galleria Memphis Post Design of Milan. Further highlighting the brand’s connection to the art world, with its support the gallery provides an outstanding space for Ferragamo accessories to stand side-by-side unexpectedly with furniture and objects from the movement led by Ettore Sottsass. A collection of surprising combinations and playful pairings, the images focus attention to different types of contemporary men, defined by their own interests. Archetypes that playfully present themselves, declaring that never taking yourself seriously is the secret of every style.

Silhouettes and intertwining forms and lines provided inspiration for Salvatore Ferragamo’s stunning combinations and unique accessories. Revisiting his initials celebrates the trailblazing vision of the founder of Ferragamo and teaming this with a contemporary edge that takes us into the future.
