Valérie Messika has chosen Paris Fashion Week to unveil the second part of her ‘Born to Be Wild’ High Jewelry collection. A wind is continuing to blow straight in from the West on this road trip across a mineral-laden, wild, and vastly desert. “Born to Be Wild embodies this pioneering lady, a conqueror with a sensual and libertarian attitude. Are you ready to mount your steed for this road trip? Emotion and escapism guaranteed”, said Valérie Messika, Founder and Creative Director.
Ultra feminine and glamourous. Unprecedented, created for the first time by Valérie Messika, a mask entirely set with diamonds. As close as can be to the skin, this creation illuminates the face with a mysterious aura. In keeping with the Desert Bloom collection presented at Baselworld, this unique piece highlights the jewelry-making expertise of the Maison. No less than four different types of settings have been used to showcase the marquise and brilliant cut diamonds. Like a flower’s petals, each marquise cut diamond is accentuated by the feather setting, a signature of the Maison. The mask is fastened at the back of the head with a satin ribbon.
Diamonds: 11.5 carats. 78 marquise cut diamonds for 7.09 carats, 1 158 brillant cut diamonds for 4.45 carats.
Maison Messika is celebrating the Saguaro (pronounced sah-wah-roh), he emblematic cactus of the American desert. With piquancy and panache, the creator has designed stunning marquise cut jewelry. The diamonds on the necklace, ring, earrings, are worked in layers. Several layers overlap one another for a voluminous result. This effect is heightened by the feather setting, a signature Messika design. Certain lines of marquise cut diamonds are highlighted by a delicate half-halo of diamonds. The stone’s original shape is thereby elongated, enhancing its perspective and volume. The chain of this pendant necklace is composed entirely of diamonds ; an ultra-feminine detail. The set is completed with two additional pieces : a ring which extends across the top of the hand and a pair of drop earrings.
