Louis Vuitton Celebrates the World Cup Russia with 3 Unique Projects

After South Africa in 2010 and Brazil in 2014, Louis Vuitton is proud to announce its ongoing relationship with FIFA for the 2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM. The House is marking its third participation in the world’s biggest sporting event with three brand-new projects.

Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton : the House has once again created a new special-order FIFA World CupTM Trophy Travel Case in which the FIFA World CupTMTrophy can be safely transported and displayed. The result was hand-crafted in Louis Vuitton’s historic workshops in Asnières, France, and will hold the world’s most famous trophy when it is revealed at the Opening and Final Match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ on June 14th and at the final on July 15th. The new trunk’s elegant and unexpected design showcases Louis Vuitton’s dedication to both traditional savoir-faire and cutting-edge innovation.

Louis Vuitton has teamed up with FIFA and adidas to create a remarkable, limited-edition FIFA World CupTM Official Match Ball Collection Trunk that is set to become an instant collector’s item. Based on the House’s traditional wardrobe trunks, it opens to reveal a stunning collection of 13 reeditions of the Official Match Balls used at FIFA World CupTM tournaments since 1970, all fabricated especially for this project by adidas. One additional football, designed by Louis Vuitton is included in this trunk.With a playful design, the Louis Vuitton 2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM Official Licensed Product Collection is a refined yet fun collection that offers exclusive versions of Keepall and Apollo bags, and a selection of smaller leather pieces, made with an innovatively embossed version of the House’s classic Epi leather.

The collection also sports a specially designed Louis Vuitton FIFA World CupTM logo, while the initials “L.V”, in lettering first used on the personal trunks of Gaston-Louis Vuitton (1883-1970), are placed like a team badge. Continuing the House’s long tradition of personalization, an ingenious customization tool will give clients the chance to create original and unique flag-inspired coloured versions of the collection’s Keepall bags during the 2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM.
