Award-winning Head Chef Diego Sanchez presents an enticing menu of his signature favourites at the Peruvian restaurant Lima Dubai. Peruvian cuisine is a melting pot of different cultures, which have come together to form a unique blend of flavours and techniques. With the arrival of European and Japanese and Chinese immigrant’s centuries ago, their ingredients and customs intertwined over the decades with those of the locals, creating what is known as Peruvian cuisine: one of the fastest growing gastronomic movements today.
Home to a dynamic, vibrant community of diverse cultures and nationalities, Dubai is the perfect location for world-renowned Peruvian chef Virgilio Martinez to express the innovation which took him to the no 6 chef in the prestigious ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ list. Located in the urban dining destination, The Square – City Walk, Lima Dubai introduces a set menu with an array of signature dishes assembled by Head Chef Diego Sanchez. The four-course menu served for four guests to share, features a variety of exciting flavours from the traditional to the innovative, showcasing a total of eleven dishes and a welcome drink.
To begin, highlights include the Hamachi Tiradito which combines yellow chilli tiger’s milk, yuzu gel, Jerusalem artichoke purée finished with a rocoto crisp. For main course guests can try a LIMA signature, Lomo Steak Huancaína, seared beef tenderloin served with yellow chilli, cheese sauce and coriander followed by the Chifa Rice; a Peruvian take on the Chinese stable of vegetable fried rice. For dessert, a must try is Chef Diego’s interpretation of the traditional Peruvian dessert Picaron which include the sweet and savory flavours of pumpkin and sweet potatoes.
Available daily for dinner only, Chef’s Diego’s menu offers a truly gastronomic experience, bringing diners closer to Lima than previously imagined with booking only for a minimum of four persons.
