Since its launch in 2009, touristanbul has already benefitted almost a quarter of a million passengers who were able to enjoy a taste of Istanbul. If you have a connecting international flight in İstanbul, and a layover between 6 and 24 hours, you can take advantage of our complimentary Touristanbul service to discover Istanbul.
You can select one of the eight tours offered by Touristanbul according to the time frame best suited to your flight arrival and departure schedule. During the tours, you can visit Istanbul’s most notable historical sites and enjoy authentic Turkish cuisine. In the city that never sleeps, Touristanbul offers an unforgettable experience.
After landing at Istanbul Airport, you will be picked up by a vehicle and driven back to the airport at the end of the tour. Although the tour times are carefully arranged and planned, if a guest is unable to make their flight in cases that are responsibility of Turkish Airlines, that will ensure the passenger reaches their destination smoothly via the next flight.
Stopover in Istanbul
For passengers who are willingly looking to stay in Istanbul can get purchase a ticket with a layover of 20 hours and above and they can benefit with a free hotel stay (2 nights at 5 star hotel for business class / 1 night at 4 star hotel for economy class)
Within the scope of the Stopover in Istanbul program, passengers of Turkish Airlines with a connection period of at least 20 hours can stay free of charge and accumulate unforgettable memories in Istanbul, which stands out with its historical and cultural heritage. The voucher required for the stay are issued after the application is complete.
At least 72 hours before their first flight, passengers can make a reservation by sending their name-surname, reservation code (PNR) and ticket number, desired accommodation dates, preferred room type, telephone number and e-mail address information to the e-mail address corresponding to their country of departure in the table below or via the booker above with the PNR and surname information.
While staying in Stopover in Istanbul-contracted hotels, our passengers can explore the city’s historical and cultural structure and enjoy activities specific to Istanbul. Economy Class passengers may stay one night in a 4-star hotel and Business Class passengers may stay two nights in a 5-star hotel free of charge.
The TourIstanbul desk is located in the main hall in the airport, at the end, on your right as you exit from the baggage area. If you turn right as you exit through the door and look straight ahead, you will see a giant yellow cube hanging from the ceiling indicating where the tour desk is.
