Big, bigger, biggest being Dubai’s motto there’s always something exciting to look forward to in the emirate. Set to open the January 2018 is a key attraction the AED 160 million Dubai Frame which will highlight the city’s prominent landmarks in a unique manner, started selling entrance tickets on it’s website.

Dubai Frame has been named among the world’s best new attractions of 2017, according to a UK-based newspaper.

The location of the giant rectangular frame is Zabeel Park and was carefully chosen to give visitors the best view of both old and new Dubai.

The project comprises a 150-metre-high, 93-metre-wide structure being built to resemble a huge picture frame, through which landmarks representing modern Dubai such as Emirates Towers and Burj Khalifa can be seen on one side, while from the other side, visitors can view older parts of the city such as Deira, Umm Harare and Karama. The tower’s height can be compared to that of a 50-storey building, and although the bridge’s capacity and cover charge have not been revealed as yet, officials involved in the construction of the project have assured that the probability of it reaching full capacity remains unlikely – so as to ensure the comfort of tourists and visitors alike.

It is predicted the frame will become a major tourist destination in the city, like the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab. Built using the most sophisticated techniques and comprising energy-efficient features by way of photovoltaic tiles, Dubai Frame is expected to draw at least two million visitors per year once it’s completed.

The massive picture frame, Dubai Frame, is Dubai’s latest eye-popping attraction, ready to stun visitors. Placed adjacent to Star Gate in Zabeel Park, this rectangular structure is made up of two vertical towers of 150 meters high and 93 meters wide, which are further linked by a 100-square-meter bridge. Begin your Dubai Frame experience from the ground floor or the structure’s horizontal section. Main highlight here is a museum and gallery; it uses the most advanced technology, along with an array of exhibits, to fascinatingly throw light on Dubai’s transformation from a quaint fishing village to an astounding global city.

Continue your experience by boarding an elevator which takes you directly to the topmost floor or the upper horizontal rib of Dubai Frame. From its glass walkway, you can look around to revel in the city’s compelling contrast. While one side gives you the outstanding views of modern Dubai, the other side will journey you back in time, thanks to the understated yet charming structures that dot Karama, Bur Dubai, Deira, and Umm Hurair areas. There is also a café here to enrich your experience.
