Dubai Food Festival (DFF), Dubai’s annual citywide culinary celebration, will return to the city from 23 February – 10 March 2017 bigger and better than ever, offering the foodie in all of us a 17-day programme of events, activities, promotions and appearances by a host of soon-to-be-announced celebrity chefs. Try something new and check out what’s on offer at Dubai Food Festival today with five of our favourite foodie experiences.


1. Discover a Dubai hidden gem
Head to Al Barsha and create your own culinary masterpiece at Wok n Roll with a personalised wok bowl combo. Laid-back dining is the name of the game here and as one of Dubai Food Festival’s top 10 Hidden Gems for 2018, dine for just AED 25 today Hidden Gems.

2. Learn from the Cali cuisine master
Join charismatic chef Jeremy Degras from top-rated restaurant Scape at Etisalat Beach Canteenat 5.30pm for a masterclass session on his innovative approach to ‘Cali cuisine’. If you‘d rather dine in the shadow of Burj Al Arab and try his flavours for yourself, then you can enjoy an exclusive set menu for just AED199 as part of Dubai Restaurant Week.
3. Listen to live music
Head to the beach for some uplifting after-dinner entertainment with a double bill of Red Bull Culture Presents: Live @ Beach Canteen performances from local DJ/producer Shaun Warner and musical duo, Hanna & James. From 8pm onwards at Etisalat Beach Canteen.

4. Immerse yourself in Emirati culture
Get a taste of UAE heritage courtesy of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU), who will be welcoming guests as they arrive at Etisalat Beach Canteenwith a cup – or three – of traditional gahwa (coffee) and local dates.  Visit the mini majlis to learn more about Emirati culture or join a Q&A session with a chance to win a special giveaway.

5. Show off your culinary skills
Head to Cafe Society in Dubai Marina to take part in their Beat The Chef competition, where you can battle it out against the restaurant’s chef to create the most delicious and innovative dishes. This will be a fantastic event for passionate and creative foodies to get involved in.
