Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana continue to invest and believe in young fashion talent, as evidenced by their support of Korean designer Miss Sohee. The artisanal method, the attention to the smallest of detail and the study of shapes and volume at the base of Miss Sohee’s creations !nd strong links with Dolce&Gabbana’s aesthetic and creative approach.
The young designer, with the support of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, will create her next collection which will be presented in February 2022 on the occasion of Milan Fashion Week. Dolce&Gabbana will support the initiative throughout its entire organization, hosting the presentation of Miss Sohee’s creations within its spaces in Milan.
Sohee Park, known as “Miss Sohee” is a Womenswear Designer based in London. Enthralled by the feeling of escapism that illustrating granted her, Park began to translate her sketches from the page into real life to create vibrant silhouettes that she defines as demi-couture. Her first collection, titled ‘The Girl In Full Bloom,’ was inspired by the concept evolution from girl to woman, paralleling the designer’s own transition and her progression from illustration to design.
Miss Sohee: “I’m truly excited to see my creative vision !nally come to life. I am extremely grateful to Domenico and Stefano for their generous support and for this unique opportunity. Knowing that I can count on them and that they encourage my creativity is a real honour.”
Shortly after graduating from London’s esteemed Central Saint Martins, Park’s gowns were featured on the cover of LOVE Magazine’s seminal A/W 2020 issue, alongside press in Vogue, L’officiel, Elle, Vanity Fair and W to name a few.
As seen on the likes of Miley Cyrus, Cardi B, Bella Hadid, Ariana Grande, Gemma Chan and Naomi Campbell to name a few, Miss Sohee continues to explore the craftsmanship and artisanal message behind couture through sustainable ways. Her voluminous gowns showcasing long trains, caged crinolines, show-stopping prints and embellished flowers remain constant in her work.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said: “Miss Sohee is a true artist and her early work is already proof of that. The vision and the identity of her style struck us immediately. Knowing Sohee, we had the opportunity to appreciate the authenticity and freshness of her approach, very close to ours. Her dedication and love for Fatto a Mano convinced us to support this project, and we are really happy to be by her side in this special moment: the future belongs to the youth.”
