Parisian jewellery label Charlotte Chesnais are celebrating their 5 year anniversary this year and launching a new collection for Resort 2021, introducing colour for the first time in their designs.

A new step for the brand, which has also revealed its virtual showroom earlier this year: a creative platform introducing to the world of the brand through videos, 3D animations and playful imagery designed by the creative team at M/M Paris, made for professionals to revisit the label’s classic pieces and discover new collections.

Charlotte Chesnais, designer: “The idea of working with colour came during the first lockdown. We were all together, somehow, but really apart. Alone in Paris, or elsewhere, and feeling pretty separated. Ideas had to be easily made by our manufacturers from afar. I also liked the idea of giving a new life to our existing items by adding colour to their structure. I have wanted to use colour as a texture for a while; it is a result of my obsession with 70’s lacquered objects – so shiny and inimitable. I have updated existing favourite pieces from previous collections with colour; touches of black, beige, orange, baby pink. You will find some new styles as well, to sit alongside updated classics; the Wave earrings inspired by the set of rings with the same name, a mini version of our Symi necklace, and a new smaller size in the Saturn Blow earrings. I hope that you will love them!”

Charlotte Chesnais studied at Studio Berçot before joining Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga where she stayed for more than 9 years. She launched the brand’s jewellery line.

From 2012, she partners with fashion houses such as Sacai, APC, Kenzo or Paco Rabanne on their collections (RTW, leather goods or jewellery). She launches her eponymous brand in 2015 and a few months later wins the ANDAM Fashion Accessories Prize. As the designer of timelessness, Charlotte Chesnais makes ingenious pieces flirting with both jewellery and sculpture. The pieces are made in France of vermeil and silver and sold worldwide.
