Contemporary label Endless Joy makes its debut with an impressive lineup of camp-collar shirts for AW19. All pieces are sustainably made and feature elaborate prints inspired by its home base of Bali. From artists Alexandra & Stevie Anderson, Endless Joy is an extension of their artistic practice in the form of an ongoing collection of original artworks presented on garments. Bespoke fabrics are created and transformed into wearable art. Exhibited in the immediate and ever changing gallery of life a mysterious collaboration takes place. The body becomes the canvas and a creative act is formed as art is set free to roam in the world.
As advocates for spirit and the veneration of nature each piece is instilled with cryptic symbology. Shrouded in mystery and myth, the often subversive artworks play host to a motley crew of deities, shamans & spirits engaged in a dialectic of complementary opposites. Through an acid-trip of world culture and comparative mythology, informed by the human condition, the psychedelic experience is laid bare.
